Bemenet Abebe was born in Ethiopia, specifically in the vibrant capital city of Addis Abeba. She thrived in her hometown for the first 17 years, surrounded by rich culture and warm memories, before making the significant journey to America. As the fifth and last child, she fondly refers to herself as a "grace child," highlighting the unique love and attention she feels. Bemenet is bilingual, fluently speaking her native language, Amharic, and English, the global language that bridges communication gaps between people in every corner of the world.

Life has woven a complex tapestry for her, a fabric marked by both kindness and cruelty, shaped by the choices she made along the way. Some paths led her into the depths of darkness, where shadows loomed large, while others became a guiding light, gently pulling her back into the warmth of hope and clarity. She stumbled and fell throughout this journey, making countless mistakes, yet each misstep became a stepping stone for profound learning. Through these trials, she experienced remarkable growth and transformation, a testament to the boundless mercy and grace that enveloped her, showing her that even in the bleakest moments, divine light could still break through.

As her narrative unfolds, she reflects on a particular moment that marked the beginning of her journey titled "Broken and Blessed." Throughout her life, she faces profound brokenness, often stemming from the painful words spoken by those she holds dear. In a moment of raw honesty, she once expressed that whoever uttered the phrase, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” must possess a heart of stone, incapable of feeling the deep wounds that words can inflict. She understands all too well the weight of cruel words and how they can shatter one's spirit. She also experiences the profound blessing of words that radiate life, love, and light. Known by many names, one aspect that truly defines her is her deep, unwavering love for the Word of God. This young woman immerses herself in studying the Holy Bible, discovering abundant love, hope, wisdom, power, and, most importantly, a personal connection with God. It is from this fulfilling journey that Broken and Blessed was born—a brand dedicated to sharing love and light through the transformative power of Scripture.
